Our Mission -

To promote professionalism among Police Departments in Illinois, and surrounding Midwestern states.

I-PAC's primary functions are to conduct mock on-sites (inspections) for member agencies, provide training, and assist in the revision of the CALEA® standards manual.  I-PAC is currently one of the largest CALEA® PAC's.

We recognize and support the concept of accreditation for law enforcement agencies as a means to enhance the quality of law enforcement services.  To this end, the I-PAC provides a network for member agencies that encourages communication, mutual cooperation, support, and the sharing of valuable resources.

Illinois Accreditation

At this point it appears that state accreditation has taken a step backwards. No further information is available at this time. Apparently there are issues on who would be responsible to run this program.
