Dedicated to Professionalism
Welcome to the I-PAC Website
|
Our Mission -To promote professionalism among Police Departments in Illinois, and surrounding Midwestern states. I-PAC's primary functions are to conduct mock on-sites (inspections) for member agencies, provide training, and assist in the revision of the CALEA ® standards manual. I-PAC is currently one of the largest CALEA® PAC's. We recognize and support the concept of accreditation for law enforcement agencies as a means to enhance the quality of law enforcement services. To this end, the I-PAC provides a network for member agencies that encourages communication, mutual cooperation, support, and the sharing of valuable resources.
NEW Online File FolderAn Online File Folder has been developed where directives and other shared files can be downloaded, rather than attaching them to emails. The I-PAC Online Folder can be located at https://onlinefilefolder.com. The User ID and Login are the same as the Members Only area of our site. An information and instruction page on use of the site can be found in the main folder when the site opens.
Illinois AccreditationAs of August 2008 the Illinois Chiefs of Police have initiated an Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP). I-PAC is evaluating what role our coalition will have. It has been tentatively discussed that agencies seeking ILEAP Accreditation can be I-PAC members and that I-PAC generally supports the state program, especially for very small agencies who do not have the resources to pursue CALEA Accreditation or Recognition. Further discussions will be held at future I-PAC Board and Member Meetings. Postal address I-PAC c/o Don Gasparini Winnebago County Sheriff's Office 650 W. State St. Rockford, Illinois 61102
